Sid Blumenthal’s hacked intelligence emails to Hillary Clinton

Sid Blumenthal, the Clinton confidant involved in the private email scandal, sent highly sensitive emails to the secretary of state on her private server at hrod17@clintonemail.com.

A Romanian hacker calling himself “Guccifer” broke into Blumenthal’s AOL account and stole the emails. Many of the documents contained private intelligence generated by a former senior CIA clandestine services officer, Tyler Drumheller. Drumheller died later in 2015.

Guccifer’s real name is Marcel Lehel Lazar. Romanian authorities arrested him in 2013. The U.S. indicted Guccifer in 2015. Read indictment here: guccifer-indictment1

I wrote about the hacking in Investor’s Business Daily in an article published April 7, 2015, and Fox News on April 8, 2015, using the hacked documents that were ultimately posted on Cryptome. (The links are subscriber-only.)
